 The modular HandHeld PC - System for mobile and stationary applications
General
The BCT.3000 Handheld Computer is compatible to standard PC Hardware. It comes with a BIOS, which is compatible to the standard PC BIOS. The BCT.3000 has an OnBoard Operating System stored in a ROM and in an EEPROM for convenient updates. The OnBoard Operating System is compatible to the Microsoft MS-DOS ® operating system. As an optional feature, the BCT.3000 can boot an Operating System from a PCMCIA memory card. One PCMCIA Type I Slot for memory cards is available.

§ Interfaces for external display or keyboard
Development Kit
There is no special development kit needed for the BCT.3000 family. Any popular compiler can be used for software development such as Borland Pascal 7.0, Borland C, .... Software development and debugging can be done on a standard PC. The application is then transfered to the BCT via the optical IR port of the cradle, the RS232 cable port or directly to the PCMCIA card.
