 General
Different types of Cradles are available to meet your requirements at best. All Cradles are equipped with a battery charging unit for seperate battery pack and with a charging unit to charge the battery pack attached to the BCT.3000. All Cradles are equipped with a contactless serial port (infrared) for communication between the BCT.3000 and the host computer connected to the Cradle. Host computer connector is D-SUB 09M type. Communication speed is 50 – 38.400 Baud.Optional available is a Centronics printer port, a built in modem, interfaces for external keyboard and monitor display and an intelligent quick charge unit.
The cradle is equipped with 3 monitoring LEDs. One red LED monitors the data communication between the host computer and the BCT.3000. One green LED displays the insertion of the BCT.3000 with the attached battery pack. One yellow LED displays loading status of the spare battery pack inserted at the rear.
The serial port of the Cradle (RS232C) features tristate chips. So multiple cradles can be connected to one host interface (cascade). Addressing to one specific BCT can be managed by software.
