can be integrated into the body of the Eltron P210 card printer. It supports controllers for SmartCard applications with contact chips as well as controllers for proximity chips. The interface PCB can handle two different controllers simultaneously, e.g. contact chip and ISO15693.
The kit comes with a SmardCardAssy PCB for contact chips with an integrated antenna for high frequency couplers operating at 13.56 MHz or, as an alternative, an antenna for 125 KHz couplers. As the Eltron printer has no internal logic for smart card applications, the SmartCardAssy has an onboard logic to generate the card presence signal for chip couplers.
The board The DE.PI210 Kit is an interface PCB for popular SmartCard Controllers and Proximity Controllers. It generates all power required from the readers with onboard switched power supplies.
Reader/Writer configuration
With the current version of the DE.PI210 kit, single couplers for contact chips or proximity chips are available or combinations of both standards. All couplers are connected to the host PC with an RS.232 serial interface.
