The PenWare 1100 continues our commitment to offering affordable products that capture secured hand-written information into electronic files. Featuring patented pressure-sensitive technology and a non-electronic stylus, handwritten information is captured and conveniently stored. The digitized input from the PenWare1100 is sent to computer systems via an RS-232 line. Data can be compressed, printed out, or stored for later retrieval. The Penware1100s signature screen is flush-mounted and paper guides, that hold documents in place when a hard copy is desired, are available in standard or custom widths. A ball-point pen can be used to simultaneously capture data both electronically and on paper.
Designed with our customers in mind, the PenWare1100 occupies a small footprint, saving valuable counter space. It is reliable and built to withstand harsh environments. Unlike the electromagnetic pens that, if damaged or lost, render a unit inoperable, the PenWare1100s passive pen technology removes risk of functional interruption. And of course, there is never the need for expensive electronic pen replacement.
Applications
The Ideal for insurance and financial markets, or whenever a secured signature is required, the PenWare1100 is also the perfect solution for all types of security and identification card imaging applications - driver licenses, employee badges, student IDs, and membership cards. The unit integrates easily with any point of transaction system running on open operating systems, such as MS DOSÒ, WindowsÒ, Windows95Ò, or Windows NTÒ. The PenWare1100s design eliminates the need for numerous attachments and cables. Applications are easily customized with the Software Developers Toolkit, saving development time and expense.
The Software Developers Toolkit, available for all PenWare transaction terminals, makes customizing applications, such as signature encryption and compression, quick and easy. The PenWare1100 allows integration into existing applications via a downloadable, one-time set-up program included with the device.
