Put Your Application In Gear With Optical Memory Card Technology
The main components of the kit are the 30 optical memory cards, the optical card drive, and the LaserCard File System (LCFS) DLL. The optical cards are printed with LaserCard graphics on the optical side, and coated on the reverse side, ready for personalization using dye sublimation card printers. The optical card drive is a SCSI-II device, 100-240V AC, and has an automatic card load & eject mechanism.
The LCFS DLL is the heart of the development kit, and allows the programmer to work in any programming language without restrictions. Applications can quickly be developed for the LaserCard, with up to 16 file or sector volume partitions, select sector sizes on a file by file basis, and assign encrypted passwords. LaserCard Systems Corporation also offers technical support for 6 months with the purchase of a Development Kit.

with the LCFS. As an example, the Card Filer GUI can access and view data
written to cards created with the Portable (Patient) Record demonstration.
Portable (Patient) Record Demonstration A hands-on teaching tool showing how features of the LCFS can be effectively implemented in a card application.
LCFS features include dynamic partitions, hidden files, security levels
and data capacity management using various sector sizes and file types.
