 The PC-PVC plastic cards provided by cards & more meet the ISO 7810 ID-1
specifications (CR-80 specifications 2,125" x 3,375" / 53,98mm x
85,72mm) and the GSM specifications for cards for mobile phones.
They are packaged in 500 cards per box, additionally wrapped in
cellophane for dust protection.
cards & more PC-PVC plastic cards provide high image quality, high
flexibility and high temperature durability. They are recommended for
all applications requiring edge to edge printing. They are available
with or without additional features such as magnetic stripes (HiCo or
LoCo), contact chips, signature panels or holograms.
The estimated life for cards & more PC-PVC cards is five to ten years
with 15.000 duty cycles.
Application for cards & more PC-PVC cards are cards with intensive usage
with longevity requirements. Most of the European official documents
such as National ID-cards or Driver´s Licenses are based on PC material.
cards & more PC-PVC cards are made of a polycarbonate (PC) core (approx.
75%) and polyvinylchloride (PVC) overlays (approx. 25%). The result of
this sandwich structure is a temperature stability up to 85 degrees
Celsius (with possible short time peaks up to 130 degress Celsius), with
a high material density.
Because of the PVC overlays, the cards can be printed on with regular
thermo sublimation printers such as for example the P310 or the P520
from Zebra Eltron. |
