 26.02.2007 - Mandatory Requirements for Business E-mails in Germany
In case you were wondering why our E-mail signatures have been growing in length:
Starting this year, the same rules now apply for emails as for ordinary business correspondence. For legal reasons, it is mandatory to state basic business information concerning the sender. Failure to provide this information can lead to warnings and fines.
The following details are necessary for all business E-mails effective 01 January 2007:
- Forms of Business Organization
- Location of Business
- Business Registration and Registration of Companies number
- All Managing Directors, Executive Committees and if applicable, Board of Directors
