Infineon - new memory chip SLE5542 |
|
 26.02.2007 - Chip manufacturer Infineon (formerly Siemens) discontinued its SLE 4442 product. This chip will be replaced by the SLE5542. Infineon confirms that the SLE5542 is completely compatible with regard to the functionality of its predecessor SLE4442.
We have also tested the new chip and can confirm the compatibility.
We will be happy to supply our customers with sample cards for their own tests, upon request.
It will take a few months until all SLE 4442 chips in stock will be used up. We will inform our customers in our order confirmations as soon as we change to SLE5542 deliveries.
