 Up until today, a hologram is normally applied in the last working step onto the completed plastic card. The hologram is thus not completely flush with the surface, it wears off quite easily and - as a valuable security feature - is not very well protected against forgery. The alternative is called Embedded Hologram.
The most efficient procedure to apply holograms onto cards is to use foils which come readily prepared with the security features on the insides according to the production requirements. When laminating the final cards, the holograms are then embedded inside the cards and are well protected.
Challenge Card Design has years of experience with the application of security features which are used for plastic cards and ID production. We guarantee highest flexibility towards our customers: variable positioning and different hologram sizes and formats applied to foils of numerous thicknesses and qualities in sheets. We apply security elements onto PC foils.
We even process materials provided by our customers. Challenge Card Design offers short delivery times and produces also individual small quantities. We keep a standard stock of transparent overlay foils.

With the procedure developed by Challenge Card Design, holograms are applied onto a PC sheet.
Transport and storage are possible without any quality loss. Apart from PC, in certain cases PVC or PET-G can be used.
